Announcing Launch of GDI Solutions Division

Monday, January 24, 2008, Ann Arbor, MI - GDI Infotech (GDI), an Ann Arbor based Inc. 500 Company for three years in a row, has expanded its focus on Information Silo Busting by announcing the launch of their new Solutions Division led by John Poonnen, Senior Vice President. GDI's Solutions Division enables Information and Knowledge Delivery through industry-domain-specific Data Management, Information Management, Data Quality, Customer Data Integration (CDI) and Master Data Management (MDM) services.

Businesses across a variety of vertical markets will benefit from the services offered by this new division of GDI Infotech. A major benefit clients will be able to obtain is a consistent, timely and cost-effective flow of information throughout their organization. The Solutions Division will work with clients to integrate their software, enable easy data recovery, and facilitate high quality reporting and analytics. This will help improve time-to-market, enhance decision-making functionality and dramatically boost customer care.

GDI's Solutions Division will focus efforts on transforming IT environments that are complex and not clearly understood by senior managers within a company. The major emphasis will be on evaluating the downstream effects of data quality errors and defects, addressing the need for pervasive information strategies, focusing on Data Integration, infrastructure-at-risk and overcapacity anomalies as well as attacking inflexible system architecture that has limited agility.

"John Poonnen is a recognized leader in the Enterprise Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Information Silo Busting arenas and will head GDI's efforts in this important focus area. Under his leadership, GDI will assist our clients in eliminating the many Information Silos within their organizations that lead to reduced competitiveness in the marketplace and lost opportunities," said Bhushan Kulkarni, President and CEO of GDI.

"The Solutions Division will serve as an agent of change across enterprise landscapes. We want to assist clients in meeting critical "dial tone" availability for customer-facing applications. We are dedicated to improving information sharing and productivity of the client organizations." states Poonnen.
