Engagement Manager
At GDI, Engagement Manager manages one or more engagements while executing an implementation plan in a manner that meets commitments, anticipates potential problems, and avoids surprises. He/she will actively identify and pursue opportunities and participate in complex proposal development with the objective of closing services & solutions opportunities with existing and new customers. The Engagement Manager leads and supervises the work of an implementation team which may include onsite, offsite and offshore groups and effectively delegates to the team. He /she will lead, motivate and focus the team, manage day-to-day customer communications, and develop a close partnership with the customer on each project while understanding the customer’s business strategy & objectives. He/she will sell GDI solutions/service offerings and provide field inputs to our Solutions Division team that lead to expansion of the current service/solutions portfolio.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of demonstrated experience in full lifecycle systems development/implementation/integration experience with at least eight years of project leadership experience managing medium to large sized teams
- Excellent technical and business writing skills, demonstrated leadership and presentation skills required. These positions demand outstanding written and spoken English language skills. Ability to become a client’s trusted advisor
- Proven motivator and team builder. Proven credentials as a self-motivated team player, willing to work extra hours and travel as required by project /customer/marketing demands
- Working knowledge of information/data integration, system development methodologies and business requirements gathering approaches with business clients
- Proven experience adapting project planning and delivery approaches to specific project and client needs including agile and iterative techniques
- Ability to manage, prioritize and schedule project assignments and possess the ability to be effective in a fast-paced customer-driven environment
- PMP Certification and other professional certifications are highly desirable
- Excellent partnering, relationship building, consensus building, and collaboration skills supported by actual recent project or work experience
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering is required, a Masters Degree or PhD in a technical or management discipline is a plus
Project Manager
At GDI, Project Managers lead the business and technology component of projects including leading the software applications development/integration component. Define, execute, and control projects through the development lifecycle. Document and present project management artifacts and get stakeholder buy-in. Support the growth and development of the GDI Project Management Practice through various leadership activities.
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in the Information Technology field
- 5+ years experience as a Technical Project Manager
- Proven ability to project manage large technical projects (scope, complexity, and duration) in a matrix structure with a project team size averaging 15+ full time equivalents
- Demonstrable leadership of complex custom software development, integration & implementations
- Proven people skills with both leadership and hands-on managerial skills
- Demonstrate strong presentation, facilitation and problem solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or technical managerial field is a requirement
- PMP certification is a requirement
Business Analyst for Information Systems
The Business Analyst will be responsible to lead and coordinate the business aspects of analysis, design and proper specification of a newly created, customized, fully functioning system and/or delivery of the enhanced version of an existing system for the client team.
The Business Analyst will be involved in identifying, developing and documenting requirements and detailed specifications, and will usually participate in prototyping and design activities along with Information Architects and Senior developers. Business Analysts will be responsible for working with a Project leadership Team in getting all stake-holders on common set of requirements and specifications.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of demonstrated systems implementation/integration experience with at least six years of Business Analysis experience for large, complex and mission-critical projects
- Excellent facilitator and good communicator - written and oral
- Interest and aptitude in serving as the “voice of the customer” on complex projects
- Expertise in developing sophisticated and complete Use Cases that capture effective business and IS requirements
- Expertise in establishing key Information/Subject Area requirements after working with DW stakeholders on their information needs
- Three or more years experience in facilitating JAD sessions
- Strong knowledge of requirements gathering, business analysis in one or more domains preferably health care, health insurance, pharmaceutical, life sciences and financial services
- Work with usability experts and information architects in usability analysis
- Possess good working knowledge of industry standard modeling and documentation tools. Such as ERWIN, Requisite Pro and Visual Prototyping tools
- Knowledge of SDLC/Agile methodologies, RUP essential
- Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Business, Computer Science or Engineering
Sales Executive
The perfect candidate for our team is a high-energy, self-starter who is passionate about developing relationships and closing deals. This person will be part of GDI's IT Consulting Sales team with a primary responsibility that will comprise of sales, business development and client success. You will be responsible for developing and closing new business within both existing and new clients. Other responsibilities include build and maintain relationships with our current consultants and our alumni network; demonstrate effective negotiation and closing techniques in securing profitable; regular field visits to customer site – meet with client and consultants to review progress, understand gaps, proactively bridge the gaps and pursue additional business.
Requirements:
- Must be highly motivated and have a proven track record in business development working with clients in the IT consulting industry – Tier 1 and Direct Clients
- Have a proven track record of exceeding goals, targets and quota consistently
- Strong experience in understanding and qualifying the client needs to provide a qualified team of consultants to help our clients achieve their business goals
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, flexibility, positive attitude and demonstrated 'ownership' in work
- Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills
- Stable personality. Interested in making a long term commitment
- Prior IT technical experience or IT consulting background
Data Modeler
Requirements:
- 5+ years medium to large-scale data modeling experience
- General understanding of data architecture concepts and strategies, including types of data and the relationships between them; optimal data placement strategies; data usage guidelines; data technical components and the relationships between them
- General understanding of networking and security requirements and issues as they relate to data movement (e.g. - database/data warehouse access, data replication, data movement, data distribution)
- Working knowledge of various vendor data related products (e.g., data modeling tools, data repository products)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts, methods and techniques (project and enterprise-level)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Integration Architect/Developer
Requirements:
- Skill set mix that includes: strong leadership; vision; effective communication skills; goal-oriented; proactive; maturity to handle challenging team and development environments and politically aware. Ability to understand the business and demonstrate a depth of experience to grasp issues quickly
- Four to six years of experience with integration technologies, especially messaging-oriented middleware
- Strong object-oriented skills and J2EE development experience required
- Strong understanding of integration styles, design patterns, design principles, and software life cycle with relevant experience required
- Experience developing XML, B2B-based, and other canonical messaging structures
- Understanding of industry standards, processes, methodologies and best practices, including Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Rational Unified Process (RUP)
- Three to five years of application development experience delivering quality scalable software on time, on budget, and in compliance with customer requirements
- Experience with clients to document requirements by conducting interviews and facilitating JAD sessions
- Broad knowledge of mainframe, AS400, middleware and client-server technologies, as well as specific knowledge of Java and Microsoft technologies, is desirable
